Early Saturday, a tragic shooting in Kentucky resulted in the death of at least four individuals, along with the suspect, according to the Florence Police Department.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at a residence on Ridgecrest Drive.
Police responded to calls about an active shooter and discovered multiple victims at the scene.
Upon arrival, authorities found four people deceased and others injured. The suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle, leading to a police chase. The chase ended when the suspect's vehicle crashed into a ditch on Dale Heimbrock Way near Hicks Pike.
Police located the suspect with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
