Award-winning British photojournalist Paul Lowe, 60, was allegedly murdered by his 19-year-old son, Emir Lowe, while on a popular hiking trail in California.
Paul Lowe, renowned for covering major global conflicts including the siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War, was found dead on October 12 in the San Gabriel Mountains. According to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner, he had been fatally stabbed in the neck.
Emir Lowe has been charged with one count of murder and is scheduled to appear in court for the first time at the West Covina Courthouse. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that the case has been presented to the District Attorney's Office, which has officially filed the murder charge against Emir.
