Spain has been hit by devastating flash floods, with a year’s worth of rainfall descending in just one day. The flooding has claimed the lives of at least 205 people, primarily in the Valencia region, according to local authorities.
Rescue teams are urgently searching for survivors amid widespread destruction. The unprecedented downpour overwhelmed rivers, swept through towns, and caused severe damage to infrastructure.
Authorities have mobilised additional rescue and relief resources to assist affected communities, while officials warn of ongoing risks as more rain is forecast in certain areas.
