Isak Andic, the billionaire founder and non-executive chairman of the fashion retail giant Mango, has died in an accident, the company announced in a statement on Saturday.
"It is with deep regret that we announce the unexpected death of Isak Andic... His legacy reflects the achievements of a business project marked by success, and also by his human quality," the statement read.
It further emphasized Andic's commitment to the company and his close relationship with its team, calling his passing a significant loss.
Andic founded Mango in Barcelona in 1984, growing it into one of the world’s leading fashion chains, known for its contemporary designs and global reach.
The company vowed to continue his vision, stating, "It is up to us... to ensure that Mango continues to be the project that Isak aspired to and of which he would feel proud."
The company extended its condolences to Andic's family and expressed its determination to honour his legacy by upholding the values and standards he instilled in Mango.
