Australia’s soap opera, Neighbours, is set to end once again in December 2025, just two years after its revival by Amazon MGM Studios.

The Ramsay Street drama, which originally aired in 1985 and concluded in 2022, was brought back the following year, streaming across Australia, the U.S., UK, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, and New Zealand.

Despite its global fanbase, Amazon confirmed that the series will officially wrap up after its milestone 40th-anniversary season.

New episodes will continue airing on Prime Video and Network Ten to four times a week until the end of 2025, delivering the dramatic twists and turns that have made Neighbours a household name.

Amazon MGM Studios expressed pride in contributing to the show’s legacy, with a spokesperson stating, “Forty years is an incredible milestone, and we are proud to have played a role in bringing further episodes to Freevee and Prime Video customers, spanning over 400 episodes.”

Executive producer Jason Herbison also reflected on the show’s success, highlighting its Top 10 rankings in the UK and 2024 Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Daytime Series. While this chapter closes, he hinted at potential future stories from Ramsay Street.
