The Kremlin has dismissed reports suggesting that Asma al-Assad, the British-born wife of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, has filed for divorce and intends to leave Russia.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that these claims "do not correspond to reality.
These reports emerged after the Assad family was granted asylum in Moscow earlier this month, following the fall of Damascus to rebel forces.
Some media outlets alleged that Asma al-Assad was dissatisfied with life in Russia and sought to return to the UK for medical treatment.
However, Russian authorities have firmly denied these allegations, emphasizing that the Assad family remains united in Moscow.
Peskov also refuted claims that Bashar al-Assad has been confined to Moscow with frozen assets, labelling such reports as unfounded.
