Analyst View
The US equity markets closed Thursday for Thanksgiving, though there was trading in the futures markets – including stocks, oil and gold. The bond market will be closed, so there will be no trading in U.S. Treasuries. When Wall Street goes back to work on Friday, it will be an abbreviated session, with equity markets trading a half-day closing at 1 p.m. EST.  U.S.  Bond markets will close at 2 p.m. EST.

European stocks plunged over concern due to the surging Covid infections with the German DAX 30 dipping by 2.97% to 15,453.34, France's CAC 40 slipped by 3.85% to 6,803.78 while Britain’s FTSE 100 slipped 3.01% to close at 7,090.47. The region is still battling with the energy crisis and a surging Covid infection rate.

Asian stock markets were mixed Thursday after Federal Reserve officials indicated they were ready to raise interest rates sooner than expected if needed to cool inflation. The Nikkei 225 in Tokyo gained 0.7%, the Hang Seng in Hong Kong advanced 0.2% and China's Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.2%.

Commodities, Brent Oil price, dipped by 5.74% to $73.91 responding to the release of the 50million barrels announcement by the US and other industrialised countries. However, some analyst are of the opinion that oil will still close at $100 for the year despite U.S efforts.
