Tottenham Midfielder Bentancur Suspended for Making Racist Remark

Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has been banned for seven matches and fined £100,000 for allegedly making a racist remark about teammate Son Heung-min during a TV interview.

The FA stated that an independent regulatory commission found Bentancur breached rules on improper and abusive conduct, with an "aggravated breach" involving race or nationality.

Bentancur denied the charge, but it was upheld after a hearing. Further details are expected to follow.
