After Fourth Successful Flight, Mars Helicopter Gets A New Mission

A search and rescue mission is in progress after a mid-air collision of an American Airlines passenger plane and a military helicopter over the Potomac River near Washington, D.C.
The American Airlines flight, carrying 60 passengers and four crew members, was approaching Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport when it collided with a military aircraft carrying three soldiers.
Authorities have confirmed multiple fatalities, though an exact number remains unclear as search efforts continue.
Emergency responders, including fire and police teams, are using helicopters, inflatable boats, and other rescue equipment to locate survivors.
US Figure Skating has stated that several members of its community were on board the passenger plane.
Rescue crews are still working in the Potomac River, and officials have yet to provide a full casualty report.
